Race and the Digital: Racial Formation and 21st Century Technologies

Ebony Paramo

Ebony Paramo is a first-generation, third-year student at the University of California, Los Angeles. She majors in Chicana/o Studies with minors in Disability Studies and Society and Genetics. Born and raised in South Central, she is aware of the need to yet create a post-racial society. Ebony firmly believes that education is a crucial step to tackle marginalization in the twenty-first century. She took a Digital Humanities Seminar at UCLA during Spring Quarter 2016 to learn how the digital world is not exempt from this reality.
