Of Choctaw, Cherokee, or Wyandot,
Miami, Ottawa, or Ojibwa,
Or Shawnee, Seneca, Modoc, or Creek,
Quapaw, Sioux, Cheyenne, Peoria;
To all of these, and to all other tribes,
I dedicate the poems written here.
