Present Farming Habits

Now we have started to grow crops such as mustard and corn in lower lands because the "earth" has changed so much.
Bhaskar: What changed?
Chotka: The land is so different now. In previous years, we didn't use to use fertilizer, everything depended on compost and animal wast from the barn. Because of fertilizer now we can grow crops such as mustard and corn in the low lands. The land has changed so much - "the earth now has stopped responding properly without lot of fertilizers ."
