Kate Carithers Bio
I consider food to be a very emotionally tied thing in my life, as it's a way for my mother and I to stay connected to my family in Japan. Japanese food brings comfort and familiarity, which is something we have to go the extra several miles to get at the Asian food markets in the cities, and even then it's never quite the same- but it's always worth it, and I hope to find better, more accessible ways to get these foods for both ourselves, and other immigrant families in our shoes.
