The Colorado American G.I Forum
The G.I. Forum started the boycott really within Colorado and made steps towards forcing the boycott to be a statewide and nationwide ordeal. They continued their support for the boycott to the very end even denying $50,000 worth of grant money from Coors themselves in order to remove themselves from the boycott. They continued to fight for the boycott and for Chicano's until Coors paid an adequate amount of reparations to Chicano's as well as to laborers in Colorado. This group played a very important role during the boycott that inspired many Chicano's and even the general populace to fight against discrimination and work towards improving the labor-force for all individuals at the Coors breweries. They forced Coors into a corner by organizing national and state-wide protests, boycotts, and continued efforts to help those working in the brewery's gain and sustain their rights as laborers and as people. Now they still continue to work for Chicano's and do not drink Coors as much as possible.
