Tsinghua

What can I say about Tsinghua? Simply, I have been here for nearly three years now and I have loved every minute of it. I love walking through campus on an autumn afternoon, or a summer evening, and passing the perfect mixture of architecture: ranging from Qing Dynasty palaces to the western style old buildings to the recent modern additions. Each has its own distinct style, and the collage of all of them together clearly portrays the last century of Chinese history.

My favorite building of all is the old Xuetang. This is where I come most often to contemplate history because one of my relatives taught there in 1912. Mr. Hu Dunfu was a mathematics teacher and an administrator in the earliest years of Tsinghua and I am proud to walk this beautiful campus one hundred years after him.

I spent most of my time in Beijing here. . .
