The 8th Ring Road: Limits/Speculative Futures/Conclusions

The 8th Ring Road represents the future horizon of the city, always moving a step beyond what is actually there. It is the ghost-future echo of development, the line of what will be, and what will be filled in. At the end of the city. . . apartments that are brand new and empty, mix with and collapse into the farmland. It is just a dream, presented in Autocad fantasies, of what the future will be. Left over people fill the empty, newly planned streets, hours from the center. The remnants and dust of construction never leave the air, rubble that never goes away.
