It is the first place foreigners go when they visit Beijing. . . the malls, the bars

The fun zone of controlled vice. . . or at least it was in the past before the Olympics cleaned it up into its present form as West facing capitalist consumer wonderland--in fact which has spread into the whole eastern part of the city. . . from Sanlitun down to Guomao, or is it the whole city?
