‘A Woman of Great Courage’: Women in the Printing Trades in Early Modern Europe

Mary Clark (active 1677-1696)

Mary Clark (active 1677-1696) ran a shop on Aldersgate Street in London, where she oversaw the printing and publication of over 100 imprints. She took over management of the shop after the death of her husband Andrew (d. 1678).
