Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

This playthrough of the 1992/93 floppy disk version of Uncle Buddy's Phantom Funhouse took place on a "Beige" Power Macintosh G3 All-in-One, also known as the "Molar Mac" due to its resemblance to a human tooth. Released in 1997, it was created specifically for the education market. As a G3 computer with a third-generation Power PC chip, it processes information more quickly than other Macs of the period, such as the Power Macintosh 9600. Also, this computer offers color, as seen in the icons on start up, a feature not available on the Macintosh Plus used for the emulated version. Readers would also hear the computer humming and the sound of the clicking as they navigate the work.
