The Challenges of Born-Digital Fiction: Editions, Translations, and Emulations: The Multimedia Accompaniment to the Print Edition

Folio & Contents of the 1991 Edition of afternoon

As mentioned at the beginning of this chapter, Grigar received this edition thinking, because of its packaging, that it was the 1990 Edition of afternoon, a story. However, the “1987, 91” copyright alerted her immediately that it was, indeed, an edition distinct from the 1990 Edition. Launching it, she also noticed that though it contains the same number of spaces and links as the 3rd edition (539/950), it combines the two loading screens into one.
