Page 16: 2016 Scholar's Edition of Judy Malloy's its name was Penelope
The book states that this edition was produced by the Critical Code Studies Working Group. Malloy pointed out that this edition was actually produced by her "in Critical Code Studies,  where the group could comment on what [she] did, although they did not suggest any changes." She goes to say that she used the original BASIC Edition, which resulted in a version very close to the 1990 version. "It is not an emulation of the Eastgate [Systems, Inc.] version"  (Email to Grigar, March 4, 2024).

Scholars may also like to know that when creating the Eastgate Edition, Malloy's algorithms were followed but the output was created to resemble the Storyspace aesthetic. Those who have followed Malloy's work over the years are aware that she used used "the contemporary art creative practice of text as image" rather than the "print book aesthetics" so prevalent with Storyspace works.
