Beyond the Boundaries of Fantasia: An ancient imagining of the future of leadership

Problem: the leader's greed, or love of gain, may frustrate his/her followers

PROBLEM

The leader hoards resources for himself/herself rather than shares them with the community.

WHY this may be a problem

The community may lose morale because it believes that it is not being cared for or that it is not being rewarded in a way commensurate with its achievement and effort.

QUESTIONS to consider

What are the reasons, understandable or not, for why a leader might keep a seemingly unfair abundance of resources for himself/herself?

Think of a situation today that is like Agamemnon's in Iliad One, where the leader is in control of an amount of resources well beyond what the other followers control. What arguments would you make to a leader for sharing resources more generously? What arguments might a leader make for not heeding your advice?
