Desperadoes, 1993

Desperadoes is the story of Johnny Little, a 21-year-old Irishman murdered under mysterious circumstances in Nicaragua (“Desperadoes”). The novel follows his divorced parents, Frank and Eleanor Little, as they travel to Nicaragua, along with members of Johnny’s former rock band, Los Desperadoes, to bring Johnny’s body home (Cowley). However, when they arrive in Managua, they find that the body in the morgue isn’t Johnny’s. Johnny’s parents, along with his friends are convinced that he’s still alive, and set off across Nicaragua to search for their son (Cowley).
