Sounding Childhood

Jingle Bells

"Jingle Bells" is probably the best-known song of this set, a song that all children knew coming into the choir, a secular favorite yet still recalling times gone by, when folks would ride in "open sleighs" drawn by horses.  The nostalgia and festive tune make it popular for adults and children alike.  It was written by American James Lord Pierpont and published in 1857 as "One Horse Open Sleigh."  It technically never mentions Christmas, but it quickly became part of the Christmas season and one of the most famous songs in the world, which you can read here.

Our singers loved singing it!
