Bio: Kristine Ketel, MA

Kristine Ketel, MA studies the cultural and ethical implications of human-robot interactions (HRI). Her work is informed by historical viewpoints, popular culture depictions, current science, and future casting to envision the potential of human-robot relationships. A life-long interest in technology and humanity fueled her private-sector career, undergraduate teaching, and current research. Ketel is currently looking at robots in popular culture & their place in society. Her current research focuses on data surveillance and Artificial Intelligence intersections. She’s an American Culture Studies doctoral student at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
