Notes GB-Ob wrongly catalogues this letter as 4 May 1843. Mendelssohn Sämtliche Briefe gives the following information in the commentary to FMB's letter of 6 March 1843: Baermann wished to give another concert in Leipzig after his performance in the 17th subscription concert on 16 February 1843 in the Leipzig Gewandhaus. possibly "in the form of a soiree musicale with quartet and piano accompaniment". … In his letter of 4 March 1843, Baermann had announced that he would come to Leipzig on Friday, 10 March, after his Dresden concerts on 6 and 9 March.
