Like with petitions in the physical world, online petitions do have a political air, and like with petitions in the physical world, online petitions still leave many questions are still left unanswered since people do not want to expose themselves or divulge any of their information. However, I do think that social media can be considered petition-like, as they are sites that allow others to be in contact and share information for many to learn.
