Approved and appointed by the Nation's Council, WRWG is made of various Seneca Nation departments, such as the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Environmental Protection, Health Systems-Environmental Health Unit, and Planning-Geographic Information Services (GIS). The WRWG focuses on monitoring the health and risks to our watersheds on our Seneca Nation territories. The WRWG are involved in monitoring and sampling Blue-Green Algae levels within Ohi:yo' and are also involved in the recent events in Coudersport, Pennsylvania that threatened to dump fracking wastewater in Ohi:yo'.
