Sharon Irish

Sharon Irish is an architectural and art historian. Suzanne Lacy: Spaces Between is her most recent book (University of Minnesota Press, 2010.) Previous publications include a book-length bibliography on Medievalism in North American art and architecture, and a monograph on the architect Cass Gilbert (Monacelli Press, 1999), as well as a number of articles and book chapters on Gilbert, and essays on artists Anish Kapoor, Suzanne Lacy, Nek Chand Saini, Le Corbusier, and Stephen Willats. Her research interests include cybernetics in the mid-20th century, alternative pedagogies, performance in its various meanings, and intersections among contemporary art, urban space, and public policy.
