Erickson acquired these pendants prior to 1977 and he and his wife, Irma A. Erickson, passed them down to their daughter Cynthia A. Sandell and her husband Douglas P. Sandell in 2001. They were donated to Vanderbilt's collection December 18, 2006 in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Erickson.
