Time by VIOLET BOWIE
How unfair of the clock!
Still ticking, yet the world is on pause.
Time unwinds, steady and sure.
The seconds seep through the pin-sized hole in your pocket.
The minutes, the hours, the days
Leave you wondering which sidewalk
You may have lost it to.
A bathroom faucet left running while no one was home.
Oh, but how you didn’t mean to leave it running.
