The main character is a cartoonist who has a near-fatal accident and ends up in a limbo state.
Edgar Allan Poe's character has about two lines. It takes place in the dungeon where many big names in horror are being kept along with the main character. Stephen King (played by Jon Bruno) is there and Poe calls him a rather rude word. Poe is rather acerbic and but not the melancholy spirit he is usually potrayed as.
The actor playing Poe is called Edgar Allan Poe IV and claims to be a descendent.
