Racial Tensions

Differences in race have consistently been used to justify bigotry and ignorance, disparaging a group's identity in order to communicate the supremacy of another. Racial tensions have shaped history, modernity, and the literature that bridges the gap between them. Investigating how racial tensions dismantle community and connectedness better equips us to instead celebrate difference as a common denominator of humanity that unites and enhances incredibly unique lived experiences.
