Once inside, we encountered a beautiful girl who had immigrated from Turkey and was selling blown glass, jewelry and wall decor. Within the first sentence of her greeting, she voluntarily told us about her origins!
This stood out to us because she was so forward and proud of her past experiences and origins, quite a contrast to some of the other information we gathered later that day. Listen in class to find out what we mean by this…
