Relocation Communities, 1942

Map from a report by the War Relocation Authority (WRA) describing the relocation centers for Japanese Americans forced to evacuate from the Pacific Coast. The WRA as the federal agency responsible for the development and management of facilities used to house the evacuees. This map displays the locations of the ten main camps that served as the final destination for over 100,000 Japanese American incarcerees. Colorado River and Central Utah camps were renamed Poston and Topaz respectively. Click the title to view the entire report.
