How to publish your Scalar Book

Scalar uses terms like “sharing” and “availability” to describe the process of publishing your book to different audiences. In order to publish your book to the internet and make it searchable, follow these instructions:

1. Head to My Dashboard and click on the tab, “Sharing.”
2. Under the “Availability” section, change the drop-down bar to “yes” where it asks you if you want to make your URL public. If you want your book to be searchable in the Scalar indexes, also click “yes” in that drop-down box.
3. Scroll down to save!

How to Hide Pages

During the editing process, you may want to publish your book with some content hidden so that you can continue to work on it.

1. In order to hide a page, click the garbage can icon at the top right-hand corner of the page. This will temporarily hide it from the public, but it won’t permanently remove it from your book without taking more steps.
