Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

It was difficult trying to narrow down the demographic for this application because the audience may be too wide and not specific enough. I decided to scrap my first demographic which was 18-50+ gender nonconforming group but realized that that was problematic as well because since this application is centered around women, that should be my targeted audience and it should be more specific than that. So my updated intended audience are those who identify as "female" at the University of Washington Bothell, I would create a women's group to use as my user group to test the prototype as well as having feed back. Each woman would be from a different location here in Washington. For example, as seen below, there are 5 cities listed on the UWB facts page that states the certain students attending campus. I would select one female from each of the top city residents on the site such as Bellevue, Bothell, Everett, Lynnwood, and Seattle.
With that being said, by having that specific person to represent their city, it would be a lot simpler to figure out the stores that are located around their area. With this demographic that is more narrowed down and specifically on campus, it will hopefully be a lot easier to get in touch with them since they are on campus and are in close proximity.
