Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Special Collections and Archives has not yet processed the physical materials in the Vincent Giordano collection. Fortunately, we were able to use scans of Giordano's prints and negatives to present a wider selection of images of his "Romaniote Memories'' then ever seen before. Since these photographs were previously untitled, Curator Samuel Gruber took the liberty of devising titles for the exhibition. As Sam says:
For more information about the collection or exhibition contact Queens College Special Collections and Archives at qc.archives@qc.cuny.edu or the Hellenic American Project at hap.soc@qc.cuny.edu."The titles are partly descriptive - as Vincent preferred - but they also attempt to differentiate the images and to give a feel of the significance of the action, as he would when describing photos. Having worked with Vincent on this project for many years, I don't think he would mind, and he might have done the same."
