Joseph of Lamego

Joseph was a Jewish shoemaker and traveler likely hailing from Lamego, Portugal. Along with Abraham of Beja, Joseph was sent by Portuguese King John II to deliver a letter to Pêro da Covilhã, which stipulated that Pêro was not to return until he had found Prester John.
