Armand de LaFayette comes from Paris in order to seek the money from an inheritance that a friend of his should be getting.  He discovers that the will is missing.  Poe helps solve the mystery of the missing will. April 1849.


Poe is disoriented as to life, but manages to help as a means to keep the man buying him drinks at a bar.  He is a bit haughty, but helpful.
