Lucuma Pottery

These two spouted bottles styled as lucuma were popular in the Nasca civilization (200-700 AD). They served as both agricultural and human fertility icons for native peoples. Nasca religion centered around agriculture and fertility. These bottles were often used as funerary offerings or as part of religious ceremonies (Proulx, 2008).
