This is ceramic pottery that is the Chimu or Inca representation of the cherimoya. It is dated to the Late Horizon period or around 1493. This pottery is displayed in Msee de l’Homme in the Chimu-Inca style collection. It shows the historical importance the cherimoya played in their culture as it was a staple in their diet.
