Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

This chapter has provided an overview of the diverse Latino community in New York. Not only did we discuss the immigration patterns of Latinos into New York City neighborhoods but we also explored the cultural impact of Latinos to their urban environment and the issues that the community has faced and continues to face today.
Although, it is hard to predict what will become of the Latino community of New York City in the future; it is needless to say that Latino influence is growing and will probably continue to grow all around the United States. This media gallery provides an insight into the manifestation of Latino influence in New York City today. Works Cited
