Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

Building on the skills that you have developed and the feedback that you have received, you will find or create a humanities data set, which you will interpret with at least two DH methods from Module II and in light of the critical perspectives that we have examined throughout the course. To showcase your interpretation, you will design your own Scalar book with an updated personal bio.
* I encourage you to think about your portfolio as a professional document that you can continue to develop throughout your college career to showcase on your Resume or C.V. That said, you are not required to publish your portfolio for this course. If you decide not to make your portfolio public, you will have to go to the project dashboard to add your professor and classmates as readers so that we can review your work.
