The six 'frames' are built in different colours and shapes to indicate that they are conceptually different, while the structures connecting them together illustrate the way in which they are all inter-related, and cannot be understood in isolation from one another.
The six frames of the ACRL information literacy framework are:
- Authority Is Constructed and Contextual
- Information Creation as a Process
- Information Has Value
- Research as Inquiry
- Scholarship as Conversation
- Searching as Strategic Exploration
