Afternoon Tea Cakes
1/4 lb Butter
1/4 lb Caster Sugar
1/4 lb Corn Flour
1/4 lb Flour
1 Egg & Flavoring
Jam or Icing
Method
Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well.
Sift in corn flour and flour.
Add flavoring.
Cut in rounds and place in a well greased tin.
Bake slowly in a moderate oven till firm.
When cold put two together with icing or jam in between.
