Queríamos analizar cómo, en medio del caos, los niños pueden experimentar una pérdida de inocencia. También queríamos observar el hábito que la sociedad tiene en torno a la violencia y cómo afecta a aquellos que no merecen tener una vida sucumbida a esto. Merecen una vida con felicidad que puedan disfrutar junto a la exploración de su juventud. Pero la realidad de sus vidas involucra la violencia, y cómo han cambiado después de vivir en un ambiente violento. La memoria es personal, pero también puede ser algo compartido entre muchas personas. Los recuerdos sobre una hija desaparecida, por ejemplo, pueden ser parte de la memoria personal de una madre; la vida de la hija, sus gustos y aversiones. También, ella juega un papel importante en la memoria compartida de su comunidad: refleja una tragedia más a manos del crimen organizado, autorizado por su gobierno. 12022-11-17T17:20:43-08:00La experencia de los niños: Dolor y tristeza31Todas las imágenes y descripciones a continuación girarán en torno a la experiencia que los niños mexicanos soportan en sus viajes para encontrar una vida mejor. Una experencia que se les ha impuesto a la fuerza como resultado de su gobierno falladandoles. Hay muchas historias que giran en torno a los adultos de las que se habla con razón porque son los principales que voluntariamente sufren una variedad de violencia por el bien de sus familias. Sin embargo, mi objetivo para este proyecto es arrojar luz sobre las experiencias de los niños para que sus voces y traumas sean escuchados y no olvidados. Para que la próxima vez que pensemos en estas historias de violencia, los niños no sean tratados como un grupo secundario.image_header2022-12-02T21:37:39-08:00A lo largo de esta clase, escuchamos y leímos muchas historias difíciles que personas de todo el mundo latino tuvieron que experimentar en busca de una vida mejor. Una vida mejor varía en términos de lo que puede significar para uno, como poder ahorrar para un par de zapatos nuevos, tener un techo sobre su cabeza, comer tres comidas al día o simplemente tener una vida en la que uno sea verdaderamente feliz. En resumen, para muchos, este puede ser el Sueño Americano, una historia glorificada para muchos latinos que pasará por las buenas y las malas para lograrlo. Para muchos, la única forma de lograr este objetivo es ponerse a sí mismos y a su familia en condiciones terribles para poder lograr esta vida mejor. Sin embargo, surge la pregunta de por qué satisfacen la necesidad de hacerlo.
El documental de Netflix, "Las Tres muertes de Marisela Escobedo", nos lleva a través del viaje de una madre, Marisela Escobedo, en busca de justicia por el asesinato de su hija a manos del narcotráfico. Marisela protestaba día tras día ante las comunidades, los grupos narcos y el gobierno, pero al final quedó desprotegida y el gobierno la dejó a su suerte. Como resultado de su intento de exponer las acciones ilegales y corruptas realizadas por el gobierno, Marisela finalmente recibió un disparo en la cabeza fuera de la oficina del gobernador en Chihuahua, México, por el mismo grupo que mató a su hija.
Marisela sabía cuáles serían las consecuencias de sus acciones, pero continuó luchando por la justicia. Marisela Escobedo hizo algo que no muchos podían hacer por temor a ser asesinados por sus acciones. Este temor constante de ser asesinado por la negligencia del gobierno a manos de narcotraficantes corruptos solo perpetúa el crimen. Lo que lleva a que muchas personas de México quieran irse para huir de este estilo de vida, por lo que el Sueño americano es tan buscado. Siendo realistas, a nadie le gustaría vivir un estilo de vida en el que tenga un miedo constante a ser asesinado sin ningún tipo de repercusión para quienes cometieron el crimen. Aunque, hay cosas buenas en México que no se tienen en cuenta, pero lamentablemente las personas dentro de esta sociedad continuarán viviendo con esto en el fondo de sus mentes en su vida cotidiana.
Dependiendo de la edad del niño, es posible que sepa o no lo que sucede a su alrededor. Por ejemplo, en la para él por la forma en que está parado entre los pilares de las fronteras, simplemente mirando al espacio. Quién sabe lo que pueda estar pensando, pero puedo asegurarle que algunos de esos pensamientos son sobre las cosas más finas que le encantaría experimentar si solo naciera al otro lado de esa frontera. Esto demuestra que tiene algún tipo de comprensión de cómo podría ser el potencial de la vida que su vida actual no le ofrecerá durante su vida. Sin embargo, en la segunda imagen a continuación, el niño parece asustado sobre los hombros de lo que se puede suponer su padre mientras cruzan un río hacia la frontera. El niño es demasiado pequeño para comprender las circunstancias de por qué está huyendo y solo está experimentando este duro viaje hacia el otro lado. Aunque es posible que no entienda por qué abandonan el país de sus padres, se espera que el niño sufra la misma experiencia que ellos.
Por favor, recuerde que los niños no han hecho nada malo, pero una sociedad en la que se encuentran puede hacer que vayan por el camino equivocado. El debate sobre si es inmoral que estos padres lleven a sus hijos en estas circunstancias en un viaje que no garantiza la entrada a otro lado puede discutirse, pero al final del día, las intenciones de los padres son por el bien mayor del futuro de los niños. Es una pena ver a los niños que viven en México sufrir en más de un sentido. Per se, cruzan la frontera ilegalmente, ¿y ahora qué? Necesitan aprender inglés, aclimatarse a la sociedad, hacer nuevos amigos, lidiar con el racismo y encontrar dificultades para ir a la escuela debido a la falta de papeles, la baja calidad de vida inicial y el miedo constante a ser deportados. Al final, están intercambiando un miedo por otro. Todo lo que les pido es que recuerden, no es más fácil para los niños que para sus padres.
