Zusman Segalovitsh

Zusman Segalovitsh (1884–1949) was a Polish Yiddish writer from Warsaw, where the literary café of Tłomackie 13 was his second home for years. When the Nazis invaded Warsaw in September 1939, Segalovitsh fled the city, and following a journey through Lithuania, Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Syria, he arrived in Tel Aviv in 1941.
