Nakhmen Mayzl

Nakhmen Mayzl (1887–1966) was an editor, critic, and cultural activist. In April 1924, with I. J. Singer, Perets Markish, and Melech Ravitch, Mayzel founded a new literary and cultural journal, Literarishe bleter, which became the leading Yiddish literary and cultural journal in Poland, serving as its only editor from 1925 until the journal’s final edition in July 1939.
