Herwarth Walden (Georg Levin)

Herwarth Walden (1878– 1941), originally Georg Levin, was a German-Jewish author and editor. In 1932 he emigrated to the U.S.S.R., where he worked as a teacher of German. He became a victim of Stalinist police persecution, dying after seven months in jail.
