Theater of Dionysus

The Theater of Dionysus resembles more of what it probably used to look like after restoration of many of the stadium seats on the sides. Weeds litter the stage and trees hide the background from site. However, from the picture recreated from the one by Aristotelis Rhomaides, the city of Athens has quickly and vastly developed and spread. Houses and other buildings continue to the horizon, while the few pieces of nature are confined to the boundaries of the Acropolis. The theater however, also has a series of pipes running through, creating a contraption that seems to be dispensible now.
