Representations of Classical Greek Monuments : An Exploration of the Visual Culture

Arch of Hadrian

The view of the Arch of Hadrian taken by Petros Moraites is now mostly covered by the growth of the small trees planted before his time.  In the background stands the Acropolis, with the newly added lookout with the Greek flag. The area surrounding the arch is also full of trees and people, with newly constructed complexes and paved roads for cars.
