Miriam is a biblical figure who is known to have a link to Aaron and the prophet Moses. She is considered a Hebrew female prophet and a leader to her community. She is mentioned several times in the Bible in the Book of Exodus 1-2 and 15, the Book of Numbers 12 and 20. In many of the verses, her relationship to Moses and Aaron is recognized in the Bible. Throughout different periods, many interpreters pointed her leadership qualities as a female. However, leadership is defined differently in each time period.
