John of Hildesheim

John of HIldesheim (c. 1310-1375) was a Carmelite friar and writer from the Prince-Bishopric of Hildesheim, an independent state within the Holy Roman Empire. He composed a number of texts on subjects ranging from theology to philosophy to poetry. He also traveled through Germany, France, and Italy.
