Johann Boemus
German humanist Johann Boemus (c. 1485-1535) was one of the most influential writers of the Early Modern period. His Omnium Gentium Mores, Leges et Ritus (1520) represents the first attempt at an kind of ethnographic encyclopedia in Early Modern Europe. His work was translated into English in 1555 by William Waterman.
