This selection of materials describes the memorialization of the soldiers who died in the course of their service in Archangel, Russia. During this time period, a “Polar Bear Room” was dedicated in Detroit’s Veterans Memorial Building, dedications were made to specific soldiers and commanders from Polar Bear Post 436, and reunions were held for surviving soldiers.
