Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

Nothing is quite as satisfying on a scorching summer day as switchel. This classic drink is slightly sweet-tart, with a satisfying citrus aftertaste. Even if you're beyond thirsty, this drink will keep you satisfied and keep you from feeling sick afterwards.
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1 tsp ginger 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup molasses, maple syrup, or brown sugar to sweeten 4 cups cold sparkling water (lime works well). Flat water works as well.
Combine ginger, sweetener, and apple cider vinegar into half gallon jug. Shake until fully dissolved. Add water and shake again.
Optional: Add lime and/or lemon or mint leaves to add an additional kick.

The details about the slow saving process and disabled 'additional metadata' features shed light on the current situation. In such instances, having the option to restore earlier versions through the 'All versions' link is crucial for project continuity. Exploring topics like civil rights work in the food movement adds depth to understanding societal dynamics. Have you ever try snow rider?Jessica
