Since the beginning of civilization, religion has played a huge part in the lives of many people. Over the years, this connection has faded, but still binds people, whether they are aware of it or not. Often, religion has impeded humanity’s progress. In times of scientific discovery, religious beliefs have often interfered. And in times of political progress, religious figures have often tried to interfere. However, now that church and state are officially seperated, religious organizations make various positive contributions to society.
