Chapter 2 - Jewish Federation of Cleveland



The Jewish Federation of Cleveland (JFC) strives for more than just charitable donations. This non-profit is the best Cleveland charity in terms of creating continuity through faith. Per their website, the JFC is a "110+ year old community cornerstone that aspires to leave no community member behind" (JewishCleveland). This charity creates continuity within the community. They strive to help every member of the Jewish community in Cleveland prosper and flourish. The personal ties to this organization are very evident. All four co-chairmen are invested in the organizations continued success. The chairs, Bob Reitman, Marcia Wexberg, Tom Adler, and Sandy Wuliger, have all dedicated their lives and legacies to the advancement Jewish giving in Cleveland. Reitman talks about the importance of legacy gifts, explaining that these pledges of annual donations will lead to the continued prosperity of Jewish identity in Cleveland. Wexberg, Adler, and Wuliger all mention their own personal legacy gifts, reaffirming that they remain completely invested in the advancement of the non-profit they dedicated their lives to (Living Generously 4-5).
